Most people will qualify for some level of assistance. The following
are the basic requirements to qualify for the City of Garden Grove Home Ownership Assistance programs: - Attend a free home buyer education workshop.
- Be a first-time home buyer, which means you have not owned your principal residence in the last three years.
- Have income that can be verified with pay check stubs, W2 forms,
tax returns, etc. "Stated Income" is not an acceptable method to very a borrower's income.
- The income from all applicants must fall within the program income limits (see chart on City of Garden Grove Loans page).
- Have a qualifying
credit history.
- Be flexible about your home choice, not everyone
will qualify to purchase a single-family home, most buyers will start with a condominium or town home.
- The home must be located in the City of Garden Grove or Westminister.
